[ METHODOLOGY ]

How the index is calculated.

Each sector's risk score is a weighted average of the role-level displacement scores for every role in that sector that the Clankers model tracks. The model scores individual roles on a 0–100 scale based on six factors:

[ FACTOR.01 ]
Task decomposability
How much of the role consists of pattern-matching work that current AI tooling can already perform reliably.
[ FACTOR.02 ]
Tool adoption velocity
How quickly the relevant AI tools are being deployed in the role's industry — a leading indicator of timing.
[ FACTOR.03 ]
Real-world layoff data
Aggregated layoff signals from the past 18 months, weighted toward AI-attributed restructuring events.
[ FACTOR.04 ]
Defensive moats
Customer trust requirements, physical presence needs, regulatory gatekeeping — features that delay automation.
[ FACTOR.05 ]
Reskilling adjacency
How close the role sits to safer adjacent roles — measures the cost of internal redeployment vs replacement.
[ FACTOR.06 ]
Time-to-impact window
12 months vs 5 years vs "probably safe" — anchors the score to a realistic timeline rather than alarmism.

Sector scores update monthly as new layoff signals arrive and the model rescores. The 30-day delta column shows the change from the prior month's index value. The 1-year delta shows the change from twelve months ago. Both are leading indicators — by the time a sector moves five points, the underlying role-level scores have already moved much further.

[ F1 ] / BOOK CALL

The index tells you the sector.
The assessment tells you which roles.

Your sector's score is interesting — but it doesn't tell you which of your 200 roles are actually exposed. The Workforce Risk Assessment runs the same model against your real org chart and gives you a role-by-role breakdown in 72 hours.
